Since 2011 the Miller Beach Arts & Creative District has worked to revitalize Lake Street in Gary Indiana, using the arts as a catalyst for change.
We operate from a 6,000 square foot gallery that formerly housed the original 'Miller Drugs' We host 8+ visual art exhibits throughout the year, musical events, community gatherings, and private rentals.
Additionally, we host the newly formed Miller Community Theatre.
As 2023 ends, we will see the return of the Community Show, the return of the Drepung Gomang Monks to our gallery, and a lively musical offering from Patti Shaffner and BP3 Jazz Trio.
We are fortunate to enjoy support from community members, Miller Community Fund, Legacy Foundation, John T Anderson Foundation, the Indiana Arts Commission, and the City of Gary.
In 2024 we hope to bring more theatre, more exhibits, more music, more yoga, more art classes, more Smokin' Art, more community engagement.
