One thing we know at the MBACD is that our patrons are excited about the arts.. Every day, we witness volunteers, event attendees, and gallery visitors actively engage with us.

Over fourteen years, the Miller Beach Arts & Creative District has become a keystone venue for community theatre, live music events, film screenings, community non-profit fundraisers, Winter Farmers market pop-ups… and much more.

In 2025, the MBACD produced eight exhibits showcasing over 70 regional and nationally recognized artists, including our beloved community show – a highlight of the year – that focuses on Gary artists. Our program offerings were further enriched with artist talks, artist-run workshops and classes, free community yoga, the Dance ON! Lake Street summer dance series, and the 22^nd annual Fest in the First street fair, which brought over 1500 people to Lake Street for a day of celebration and community building.

We are a small but dedicated organization, powered by volunteers and residents of Miller Beach, Gary, and the greater NWI region who feel connected through their support for the arts.
