Mending Clinic

Mending Clinic with Jane Whedbee is here to empower you to make your garments suit your body, your taste, and your needs, and to help extend the life of your garments. Learn to adjust the fit, alter construction and design features, replace and restore missing/ broken elements (buttons, snaps, zippers, elastic, etc), and cover or close up holes, opened seams, and worn areas.

Bring one or more garments you would like to fix, and we will get you started on your repair. As a benefit of the group setting, you will also get to see how additional problems and repairs can be handled, and we will do an overview of materials and common skills including hemming, reinforcing buttonholes, and basic hand stitches (including decorative ones).
